Texas Hospitality

We are a little over a week here in Texas and everyone we've encountered so far has been friendly and welcoming. While we stopped alongside the road for a break and a snack, a concerned lady stopped just to ask if we were O.K.  When PaulC had trouble with his bike, a kind gentleman named Robert gave him a ride to our support vehicle so PaulC could fix his tire. As we waited for PaulC to finish the day's ride, a jovial fellow named Ray sat with us, telling us stories of his Texas way of life as he puffed away on his stubby cigar. Then, at dinner at the J & P bar and grill in Comstock, a lively waitress named Kim, served us up a delicious meal with her sweet smile, vivacious laugh, and funny stories of growing up in Texas.
Ray and Gayle - all of his stories are true!?
