Day 15 Caballo NM to Anthony Tx.

I thought we would be having to deal with staying cool, but not today!  The temps were in the 40's!!  It was darn cold.  The good thing was that we had pretty much all day a  tailwind, and we figured it to be 17 MPH. That and the cold temps kept us working.
We did 90.5 miles today and only climbed 843 feet.  It was mainly down a two-lane road with not too much traffic.  Here are some of the views we had on the way.
This was going down a neat road where the pecan trees created a cave.
This is a view of the Rio Grande.
Here are Paul P. and Gayle both taking pictures, but of different things it appears.  No idea what.

Good to know pecan thieves will be prosecuted - as well as nut picking!  There are some nuts that I would like picked, but no luck so far.
Here are some things for the "I can't make this stuff up" list.  Enjoy.

So, this is obviously hot pepper country, and as we went along they were everywhere - including in the middle of the road.  Paul P and Gayle got a gunny sack of hot peppers out of the road, and several ended up in their pack.  Look at their blog.  Here is one of the places.

Finally, we did make it into Texas!  We did take a back-road across the Rio Grande so there was no special sign, but we did see this at the motel.  It's all you/we get!

Tomorrow we will dress warmer, head further into Texas, and hopefully not get on the road into Mexico!
