Red peppers, cotton, pecans, and colorful pottery

I did not anticipate that today was going to yield any photographs.  It was 47 degrees, windy and overcast.  The last thing I expected to find was color.   WRONG!  On the outskirts of Hatch, NM and then the whole town of Hatch was an oasis of color beginning with fields of red peppers.  Apparently, Hatch is the red pepper capital of the USA.  Once you enter the city limits there is a distinct smell of roasting peppers.  The other noticeable item about Hatch, NM, involves beautifully painted clay pottery.  Needless to say, the displays popped with color and character.  It was fun to photograph the various colors.

In addition to red chili peppers, the city of Hatch and neighboring communities, grow pecans.  I drove by miles and miles of pecan groves.  Amazing.   Dana K...
