Day 27 Lost Maples Park to Fredricksburg, Texas

Day 27, and what a beautiful day it became.  We did start with some heavy fog, but when we went to the start of the day's ride it had cleared.  We did 63.8 miles and only 2,491 feet of climb.  Enough after yesterday.

On the way, we had to cross some more flooded roads, but the water is going down.  The locals are happy with that!

We are also getting out of the Texas Hill Country - still climbing hills, but not as steep.  On the top of the ridges the back-country roads are very nice to ride!

On the way, we did come to Stonehenge - and Easter Island - in the same place!!

Not only that, we got to "Boot Hill"!
We went by "Menagerie Ranch" - complete with dinosaurs.

On the way we did see some old homes and ranches.  Some history there!
Tomorrow we head to Barton Creek Ranch - where we will stay with Susan and Robert.  They are friends of Martha Weiler and invited me to stop by.  On we go indeed!
