Day 16 Anthony, Texas to Fort Hancock, Texas

Day 16.  So far this was the toughest day - at least I think so.  We did 84.1 miles and only 1,158 feet of climb.  My Strava and/or my phone were a bit messy as the actual mileage was messed up, but I am certain I did the miles!
We should have known this day was going to be difficult given the way is started.  There was a huge truck turning on to the freeway that knocked down a street-light.  Here are the pictures.  I did turn the pole/light remains out of the road.

We finally officially got into Texas.  The way the border goes around here we went in and out several times actually.
We did a looooong way on a very busy road, and what they called a bike lane was ridiculous.  Here is a picture showing how they called the shoulder on the expressway a "bike lane"!?
That is Paul and Gayle out ahead with the traffic going by at 80 MPH!  Crazy!!
This sign shows that there is multiple use on the roads around here.
This picture shows how busy these roads were, and this is only the side road!!  It was just nuts!!
Finally, after putting on about 75 miles we were well out of El Paso and the insane traffic.  Here is all that is left of the town of Acala.

We did make it to Fort Hancock just as total darkness set in.  Tomorrow we will hopefully not have all the route-finding issues we had in El Paso!
