DMWT - Don't Mess With Texas!

TEXAS! Big! Bold! Last night we stayed in Fort Hancock, TX.  The motel room was nice, the exterior needs a lot of work.  In fact, this whole part of Texas is filled with dilapidated buildings and abandoned towns. In spite of the less than perfect architecture, photographing these types of structures is a fun exercise in creativity (Photo Shop) for this photographer.

Gayle took the day off from riding the tandem today.   Smart lady.  It was cold, windy, and raining.  Tonight we are staying in Van Horn, Texas at the El Capitan. The hotel was built in 1930's.   The lobby has beautiful tile floors and leather furniture.  I will get some photos.

So far, my life as a SAG (support all gear)  has been an adventure.  Today I drove close to the Mexican border.  Off  in the distance I could see the Rio Grande River and mountain range
located in Mexico.  In addition, I saw six coyotes cross the road and several white egrets fly over the area.
